Fats Domino, Legendary Singer and Piano Player, Dead at 89

New Orleans legend Antoine “Fats” Domino died on October 24 at the age of 89. Surrounded by friends and family in New Orleans, Domino died of natural causes.

Domino, a singer and piano virtuoso, was known for boogie-woogie hits like “Ain’t That A Shame,” “Walkin’,” and "Blueberry Hill,” which helped pioneer the rock movement in the ‘50s and ‘60s.

Domino is not only a member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame but also received a GRAMMY Lifetime Achievement Award in 1987.
