Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Yes have announced that Dylan Howe, the son of guitarist Steve Howe, will drum alongside the band’s longtime drummer, Alan White, throughout the Yestival Tour. According to Dylan Howe, the invitation is not only a “dream come true” but also what he referred to as “quite possibly the musical zenith of my career.”

This isn’t the first time they’ve had two drummers perform simultaneously. Back in the early ‘90s, the band invited former Yes drummer Bill Bruford to play along with White on their Union Tour.

Still, Yestival 2017 is shaping up to be an incredible tour, especially with Todd Rundgren and Carl Palmer as special guests. Plus, the band is promising a set list of some of their biggest hits prior to 1980, so there’s that. Ticket info and more on the tour can be found here

In other Yes news, on July 29, Yes, along with Live Nation and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, will release an ongoing video diary documenting Yestival 2017 from the band’s point of view. The diary can be found on the band’s website, and it’ll continue to update throughout the tour.

What’s more, in celebration of Yes’ music and influence, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame will host a week of events (including live music, films, and more) from August 15-20.

Who’s gonna be checking out this video diary?
