BIG Question: Will Axl Rose Sing Again For AC/DC?

March 21, 2018

When AXL ROSE of Guns N' Roses stepped in to help AC/DC finish their last tour after Brian Johnson's departure due to chronic hearing loss, no one was speculating on what Rose's participation (if any) might be after the tour concluded. But as the tour continued, and the rave reviews of Axl's performance (and good behavior!) kept on coming, that question took on a little more weight.

It seemed that with everything AC/DC went through in recent years—the death of Malcolm Young, the retirement of bassist Cliff Williams, the departures of Brian Johnson and Phil Rudd—the long, successful reign of the hard rockin' Aussie band was about to write its final chapter. But, hold the presses!

While Angus Young has not commented publicly on the future (if any) of AC/DC, there has been speculation offered up by fellow Australian rocker Angry Anderson (formerly of Rose Tattoo). According to an interview with The Rockpit, Anderson claims that Angus is indeed planning more for the band in the form of a new AC/DC album and has been writing songs with Axl Rose specifically in mind to sing them.

Angry Anderson's opinion is not the first to address the AC/DC-Axl possibilities—that conversation was initiated last year, and the fact of the matter is that nothing will be official about the future of AC/DC until Angus Young says so. Rock On, Angus & Axl!
