Ozzy to Make Live Comeback With Post Malone and Travis Scott at AMAs

'Take What You Want' gets its TV debut

November 19, 2019

Ozzy Osbourne is challenging himself right off the bat. After a series of health scares, the Prince of Darkness will return to the stage with Post Malone and Travis Scott at the American Music Awards

Ozzy tweeted the news by saying the unlikely trio will take part in the world TV premiere of “Take What You Want” this Sunday on ABC. The track appears on Post’s new album and features Ozzy and Travis.

Ozzy is preparing a new album of his own and has already shared “Under the Graveyard,” his first solo song since his Scream album in 2010. The song will appear on Ordinary Man, which is set to be released in January. Ozzy said the LP was a direct result of working with Post Malone.

“This is my first recording in a studio for ten years, so I do feel a bit out of touch,” Ozzy said. “Music goes straight online these days and that’s quicker than it takes me to write a text. It’s all about downloads and streaming now.”

The 70-year-old’s road to recovery also includes some rescheduled tour dates. He’ll be joined by Marilyn Manson on the North American leg beginning May 27th in Atlanta, while Judas Priest will be his special guests in Europe in late 2020.

Ozzy’s health challenges started more than a year ago when he developed a staph infection after hand surgery. He later developed the flu which turned into pneumonia. But the biggest scare was a face-first fall he suffered in January, which led to neck surgery.
